Rose Cole, PhD

I (she/her) am an Appalachian living in Charlottesville, VA. I have a PhD in educational policy from the University of Virginia’s School of Education and Human Development and a Masters in Public Administration from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.

I am an evaluator, practitioner, teacher, and researcher of community-engaged learning and higher education for global citizenship. This means that I ask questions like:

What is higher education for citizenship?
Who’s a global citizen? How do they become one?
What can colleges and universities learn from college student activism?
Is making art civic engagement?
